EarthFest 2018

Join us for our 2nd Annual Earth Day Celebration at White Barn Farm

Learn, Create, Challenge Yourself, Get your Face Painted and Pet a Goat!

Celebrate all of the magic that Mother Earth provides us, connect with your local producers and the community we have cultivated here on this tiny point on the planet!

This IS a fundraiser (for the farm), so we will be selling tickets to participate in most activities (carnival style). The parking fee is $10 and includes 5 tickets. In honor of Earth Day, Walkers and Bikers get 5 FREE tickets! Otherwise, Activity Tickets are $2 each. Bring Cash! We can charge your credit card if you are buying $10 or more.

Katy Riley, farmer at Treehouse Farms and talented artist, made our supercool poster:

  • Our farmstand will be open during the entirety of the fest. In addition to the very first spring crops like tender arugula, baby kale, mustard mix, and French Breakfast Radishes, we will have Vermont Compost potting soil, compost plus, and more. High Mowing Seed packets will be in stock for seeding in your garden and Neptune's Harvest Fish&Seaweed emulsion will be for sale, too. Perennial plants grown at White Barn Farm will be for sale and perhaps a few little annual veggie and flower seedlings will be ready as well!

 Marty Pearson- WOOD FIRED PIZZA
If you were at our winter market celebration you remember this pizza! If you weren't - come on down this Sunday to taste the best PIE around!
  • Pet Chuck the Goat and Thunderchunks the Rabbit, from Treehouse Farms of Millis. We are loaning Farmer Katy the White Van so she can bring a mobile petting zoo.

  • Hand Crank the Popcorn Sheller to get those delicious seeds free from the cob. So much fun you won't know you're doing work!

  • Visit White Barn Farm's greenhouse and plant a seed in a pot to take home. Experience the magic of seeds on your windowsill at home!

  • Challenge yourself to identify vegetable plants in their seedling stage, double down by naming their plant family . . .

  • The talented Becky Sheerin (aka Ally Garcia's sister) is returning this year to do her unbelievable FacePainting. Art, Folks! Just Amazing.

  • Mike Moran, the man behind Mike's Micros and Common Acre Farm in Mansfield, will be demonstrating his micro green growing process and selling his nutrient dense little micros for your health and enjoyment!

  • Another talented mama will be returning to offer an upcycled craft. Kelsey, the mastermind of Hyphen Designs, brings new life and beauty to cast off fabrics to create adorable T-shirt twirly skirts, beautiful embroidered sweaters, wool jumpers, headbands, even pants made out of men's ties! Last year she offered a craft making a flower using old buttons and wool scraps. Not just for kids! Experience the reward of creating something beautiful with your own hands.
