CSA Liaison-Work for Share

Here at White Barn Farm we are seeking part time CSA Liaisons to staff our CSA tent from May until late October. These are work for share positions.

 

Schedule

  • Wednesdays and/or Fridays

  • Shifts are 11-3 or 3-6:30

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for our CSA members.

  • Maintain mask wearing protocol throughout your shift and maintain any other public safety measures deemed necessary.

  • Answer customer questions about produce and the farm’s growing practices.

  • Maintain CSA customer pick up lists.

  • Set up CSA pop up tent and display at beginning of shift.

  • Maintain an attractive produce display throughout the day. Restocking as necessary.

  • Keep the CSA tent and storage areas organized and clean.

  • Keep track of product inventory and notify farm managers if anything is running low.

  • Break down CSA display at the end of the day. Closing responsibilities include carrying bins of produce back to the cooler, taking down the tent and storing all the items at the Farmstand or in the Barn for the evening.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with customer service.

  • Familiarity cooking with fresh, seasonal produce.

  • Positive attitude, good sense of humor and strong work ethic.

  • An eye for color, attractive, abundant displays, and high quality standards will help

  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs over uneven ground.

  • Organized, responsible, punctual and attentive to detail.

 

Compensation

  • Receive a Summer CSA share and a Fall CSA share for your 4 hours of work/week.

  • Current CSA members welcome. Compensation will be arranged if you have already purchased your share.
